Resplendent Quetzal - Advanced Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery, Rayon Threads, Class and Kit
The Resplendent Quetzal bird dwells in the mountainous rainforest of Guatemala and Costa Rica and can be seen perched high in the treetops. This beautiful bird is stitched on hand-dyed green cotton fabric. Its two long tail feathers are stitched on green fiber-covered wire with cast-on and detached buttonhole stitches using 6 strands of thread. These tail feathers are attached behind double cast-on drizzle white feathers. The branch is covered with mosses made with Boucle threads.
